RIM said on Thursday launched a tablets blackberry PlayBook 4G LTE. This device comes with software brings BlackBerry Playbook OS 2 plus LTE connectivity that will provide access to a mobile network with high speed and HTML5 support.
When released, the RIM does not provide information related to the price of his new tablet. But not long after a site called MobileSyrup has revealed the price of the BlackBerry Playbook 4G LTE.
In the report mentioned that the device will be launched in Canada through RIM partners there as Bell, TELUS, and Rogers.
BlackBerry Playbook 4G LTE Bell and TELUS to offer for 550 USD without a contract. As for the Rogers network, these devices set a price: $ 549.99 (without contract), $ 499.99 (with a one year contract), $ 449.99 (with two year contract), and $ 349.99 for three years contract.
RIM's decision to give pricing Playbook 4G LTE with a minimum of 32 GB of memory capacity in the price range mentioned above could be regarded as a bold move. As we know, based on the facts uncovered by the survey results BGR site some time ago revealed that most users do not consider mobile connectivity in the tablet as a necessity. This was particularly related to the price of the tablets with a particular network (which is usually more expensive) and the subscription data that must be borne later.
Consumers just want to be able to consume large amounts of data on their tablets without incurring additional costs. Thus, consumers tend to choose a tablet simply by the Wi-Fi on the device.
RIM must have had other reasons for the introduction of pricing policy for the 4G LTE Playbook. So, we wait for further developments, if RIM's new tablet will reap success in the market or even repeated failure on their first Playbook.
